August Kleinzahler is the author of Sleeping It Off in Rapid City, winner of the 2009 National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry. A collection of his music essays, Music: I-LXXIV, came out in August 2009 published by Pressed Wafer in Boston. He lives in San Francisco but retains his official title, Poet Laureate of the Borough of Fort Lee.
