Agatha Christie was home educated, a fact I just acquired inadvertently due to my being dragged up to Totnes Civic Square to meet with a bunch of people pursuing a similar path with their own offspring.
“Well, that’s the debate over the merits finished,” observed my companion.
“Rommel was also home educated,” I added in a loud voice, helping myself to a promotional fairy cake.
“And do you have children?” asked the woman at the centre of this operation.
“Actually, no. I am impotent. Thanks for reminding me.”
