Competition Terms and Conditions

Each competition will have its own closing date for entries which will be specified on our website and/or social media channels. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

By entering our social media competitions with a photo, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement for their photo to be used in future promotion of the London Review of Books, both in print and online.

Multiple entries from the same person are welcome. Photos submitted must be your own work, must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/ or content that you do not have permission to use and must not otherwise be obscene, defamatory or in breach of any applicable legislation or regulations.

Winners will be chosen as a result of a popular vote conducted by the London Review of Books staff. The winner will be notified within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other Social Network.
