The transfer was debited to my account and the bank kindly informed me that they had stooped the transfer. I received a new card a few days later - the third car within a month because of manipulations with my card. No real damage, but I've decided to avoid using the card as far as possible. I don't travel much so it will not be too difficult. Apparently many thousands of card holders' data have been hijacked in Spain by a syndicate - the banks don't talk much about this but it sounds as if the whole system is imploding.
