The date in which swine flu vaccines will be given to high risk groups is coming ever closer.

In the biggest vaccination programme in over 40 years will you have a swine flu vaccine if offered?

It seems that Tamiflu has been represented as the magic bullet against swine flu by the media. However, that, in itself is flawed on two counts. Firstly, Tamiflu is currently dispensed by non-medically trained call operators (in England at least). Also not everyone reacts favorably to Tamiflu, some of whom have reported worsening of symptoms.

Besides Tamiflu, being an antiviral drug, simply treats the symptoms and not the virus itself.
